A one week long summer school on cloud computing was arranged in Otaniemi in 6.-10.6.2011. The summer school was a pilot event of the new master school of the European Institute of Technology. 31 participants mainly from the EIT ICT Labs core or affiliate institutions attended the summer school. Cloud computing, which moves computing from personal devices to huge data centers in the Internet, is one of the hottest technology trends in ICT. The EIT Cloud Computing Summer School aims to provide the participants an insight into the cloud computing through lectures given by professors and researchers from both academia and the industry, hands-on exercises and group discussions. We will also visit the premises of CSC. An integral part of the summer school is an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Event.
